The Hill Country Chapter of the National Weather Association is a community of weather enthusiast who gather to enjoy a shared appreciation for meteorology and related natural sciences. You need not be a weather professional to participate. Our focus is community service, science, education and fun.
The next meeting of the Hill Country Chapter of the National Weather Association is at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 7th, 2019 in the Cailloux Campus Activity Center Ballroom (CCAC) on the campus of Schreiner University, 2100 Memorial Blvd in Kerrville, Texas. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Tamitha Skov, also known as Space Weather Woman. Dr. Skov will be joining us live, via Skype and will take questions following her presentation. Upcoming presentations include: March 27th at 7:00 pm - Emmy Award & Edward R. Murrow Award winning Meteorologist James Spann, whose live broadcast of the 2011 Tuscaloosa tornado is credited with saving countless lives, will be joining us live via Skype.
April 24th at 7:00 pm - Dr. Patrick Marsh, Warning Coordination Meteorologist for NOAA's Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, will be joining us live via Skype.
